Waiting for coffee to spill to scold

A first-person view of someone boiling Arabic coffee in a metal dallah that is about to spill over, while an elderly man in the background glares intently, waiting to scold them.

Used to describe someone who is eagerly waiting for you to make a mistake just so they have an excuse to get angry or scold you.
